At the Ångström Laboratory, Department of Engineering Sciences, Division of Solid State Physics. It is a full-time permanent position with start as soon as possible or by agreement.
Work description: The applicant is expected to lead the fabrication of photoactive nanostructured materials using physical vapor deposition techniques for photocatalysis applications; in particular semiconducting metal oxides. Further, the applicant is expected to perform networking and administrative duties in both international and national projects related to photocatalysis in environmental and energy applications.
Qualifications required: PhD in Physics or Engineering Sciences with specialization in solid state physics, experience in fabrication of films by PVD techniques employing physical deposition techniques, and have documented experience in materials characterization techniques such as electron microscopy, and XRD, as well as vibrational spectroscopy and electrochemical techniques.
The applicant should have a background in solid state physics and/or materials science and be familiar with electronic and structural properties of semiconductors.
It is expected that the applicant has senior researcher competence level with previous post-doctoral positions as merits.
The applicant should have good communication skills and speak and write good English.
It is a merit if the applicant has experience in other nanofabrication techniques, analytical particle scattering techniques, chromogenic materials and/or computational experience of electronic and structural properties of solids.
