The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate to graduate level in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. The Department has approximately 120 employees.
Duties: Conduct research in representation theory of associative algebras, Lie algebras, Lie superalgebras or 2-categories. Teaching and administration can be included, no more than 20 percent.
Requirements: PhD exam in mathematics and documented experience of research in representation theory. To be eligible for a position as postdoctoral researcher the applicant's PhD degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application date; however, for example periods of sick leave or parental leave are deducted from the three-year period. Ability to teach in Swedish or English is a requirement as well as proficiency in spoken and written English.
Personal circumstances that may be of positive relevance in merit evaluation, for example parental leave, should be mentioned in the list of qualifications (CV).
Ranking criteria: In ranking eligible candidates, special importance will be given to scientific skills. In filling the position the university aims to recruit the person who, in the combined evaluation of competence, skills and documented qualifications, is judged most suitable to carry out and develop the work-in-hand and to contribute to a positive development of the department.
