The course is given as a net-based course. Assignments are submitted to the e-classroom on Internet and the student will receive personal feedback by the teacher. A forum for discussion is available. To participate in the course you will need a computer with internet connection and Flash.
Wind Power Basics, 7.5 credits, or 7.5 credits in social sciences, natural sciences or engineering.

About the course:
The course is about how to use land and plan as efficiently as possible for energy production while also taking into account the environment. Topics like wind power policies, energy policy, spatial planning, planning strategies/methods, opinion and acceptance, environmental impact of noise and shadows as well as wind power's impacts on landscape will be studied. The student will also analyse the wind power policy and planning strategy in the student’s own country, region or municipality.
