Outline for distance course: The course is given as a net- based course. Assignments are submitted in the e-classroom on Internet and the student will receive personal feedback by the teacher. A forum for discussion is available. To participate in the course you will need a computer with Internet connection, Flash and headset or speakers and microphone.

Entry Requirements: 60 credits in wind power project management including Wind Power Energy Calculations, 7.5 credits, Wind Power Planning and Permission, 7.5 credits, and Wind Power Installation, Operations and Maintenance, 7.5 credits.

If you are not a citizen of a European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) country, or Switzerland, you are required to pay application or tuition fees. Formal exchange students will be exempted from tuition fees, as well as the application fee. Read more about fees.

Please note: The course is in English but hand-in assignments and project report can be submitted in Swedish.

About the course:

Using the skills from previous courses and course literature regarding the economics of a project and the planning of a project, each student will make a feasibility study for a wind power project. The wind power project assignment consists of several of the necessary steps in the development of a wind farm project. During the feasibility study both windPRO and WAsP wind resource assessment tools will be used.
