Outline for distance course: The course is given as a net-based course. Assignments are submitted in the e-classroom on Internet and the student will receive personal feedback by the teacher. A forum for discussion is available. To participate in the course you will need a computer with internet connection and Flash.

Entry Requirements: Wind Turbine Technology, 7.5 credits.

If you are not a citizen of a European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) country, or Switzerland, you are required to pay application or tuition fees. Formal exchange students will be exempted from tuition fees, as well as the application fee. Read more about fees.

Please note: The course is in English but hand-in assignments and project report can be submitted in Swedish.

About the course:

This course brings together the engineering and economic aspects of wind power energy technology, power generation and systems integration by highlighting the key principles behind each technology, its state of development and its relevance in the power industry with emphasis on operational and system connection. Concepts are introduced for quantifying the impact of distributed generation and wind power on the power grid.
