Panel discussion and mingle at CEMUS’s alumni event
On Sunday 18 March, CEMUS (the Centre for Environment and Development Studies) held its annual alumni event. This year, the event was organised in collaboration with the Master programme in sustainable development, which is connected with CEMUS.
The day unfolded as a panel discussion, and then a mingle dinner. The topics for the panel discussion were ‘Working with Sustainability’ and ‘Reflecting on education and experience at CEMUS’. Three former students and staff that currently work with sustainable development – development in grassroots and international policy, sustainability communication consultancy, and wind power generation – joined us as panellists. Current students were eager to get inspiration for working life, and other participating alumni contributed contrasting perspectives on questions such as: How should one go about networking? What experience from university was most useful? What would a dream course look like if you could design one now?
