Entry requirements
60 credits within Wind Power Project Management, including Wind Turbine Technology, Wind Power Grid Integration and Scientific Methods in Wind Power Project Management. In addition a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) is required.
Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course the student should be able to
- summarize and report independently acquired knowledge in a selected sub-field of Wind Power Technology,
- select suitable theoretical models from books, articles and research reports for a given problem within the chosen sub-field,
- perform calculations, simulations and measurements and evaluate those in relation to selected models,
- present results and methods in writing and orally and argue for their relevance.
Content
Determined individually by the course director after having consulted the supervisor appointed for the student.
Instruction
Supervision and seminars. Participation in postgraduate (PhD) courses can be included after agreement with the examiner.
Assessment
Written and oral presentations of assignments and demonstrations of existing practical elements.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
