Entry requirements
60 credits in science/engineering. Analogue Electronics, Scientific Computing I, a basic course in statistics, a basic course in Automatic Control Systems, Graphical Programming in LabVIEW.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- design and implement a measurement and control application in LabVIEW, given a partially incomplete specification,
- report in writing (in English) of a completed construction task with particular emphasis on compliance with the specification.
Content
Design and realization of a control system in LabVIEW based partly incomplete specifications. Signal conditioning and interface circuits for sensors and actuators. Report writing in English.
Instruction
Lectures and project supervision.
Assessment
Demonstration and oral presentation of a functioning construction task (4 credits) as well as written report on the latter in English (1 credit).
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
Other directives
The course replaces the project part of the previous course 1TE672 Measurement and Control Systems and cannot be included in a degree together with the latter.
