Entry requirements

Analog Electronics.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  • design, build and verify the function of a non-trivial electronic system with a micro-computer and associated electronics given an initial specification,
  • design and implement a functioning electronic system with both analog electronics and a microcomputer circuit, such as Arduino, given an initial specification.
  • present orally and in writing a completed project.

Content

Specification, functional verification, flow charts, realizing sequential circuits with a microcomputer, design of an electronic system, as well as oral and written presentation.

Instruction

Project work, laboratory exercises, supervision.

Assessment

Demonstration as well as oral and written report of a completed project work.

If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method.
