Environment: The position is funded by a five-year grant aSSIsT: Secure Software for the Internet of Things (https://assist-project.github.io/), supported by SSF (the Foundation for Strategic Research), which brings together several groups at Uppsala University (Bengt Jonsson, Parosh Abdulla, Mohammed Faouzi Atig, Philipp Ruemmer, Kostis Sagonas, Wang Yi) that are world-renowned in the fields of automated verification, programming language implementation, and testing.
Duties: Research on techniques for security testing of communication protocols. Research at the department develops techniques for analysing security of communication protocols and IoT software, in particular within the project aSSIsT, supported by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF). The holder of the position will further develop techniques based on black-box testing and automata learning for testing security properties of communication protocols.
Qualifications: A postdoctoral position requires a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. A successful candidate should have a strong research experience in protocol testing and automata learning, as well as be proficient in building software systems and tools. The applicant must have good skills in spoken and written English.
Salary: Individual salary.
Starting date: 17-09-2020 or as otherwise agreed.
