Housing
As an exchange student, you get prioritised as long as the application is submitted on time.

Exchange students are covered by the insurance "Student IN". Find out what coverage you have and what you might need to add.
Visa and residence permit
If you have a non EU/EEA citizenship, you have to apply for a residence permit. You can find information on the Swedish Migration Agency's website.
Student life at Uppsala University
During an exchange, you will be able to experience one of the two most vivid student contexts and unique historical settings Sweden has to offer. Both Uppsala and Visby promise a great exchange.

Temporary changes and extra drop-in sessions
- The final drop-in before the summer is on 30 May 2024. Following that, there will be a summer break for drop-in. Drop-in will resume on 3 September 2024.
Drop-in: Consult an International Officer
Meet with our International Officers to discuss your inquiries regarding your studies. You have the option to connect through Zoom or have an in-person meeting. Drop-in sessions are not available on public holidays and during breaks such as Christmas, Easter, and summer vacation.
