The course is net-based and has no mandatory meetings online. Communication between teachers and among students is proceeded via different course forums.

About the course:
2D animation focuses on creating storyboards, characters and backgrounds that are animated in two-dimensional environments. The course follows on from ’Animation in 2D 1 - Theory and Practice’ and focuses on animation production and the steps that must take place before and during the production of an animated film. During this course you will produce a short animated film and thus get an opportunity to go through the various steps involved in the production of an animated film as: storytelling, concept development, design, character development, storyboarding, and layout. The course is based in animation theory, design and advanced animation techniques for games and timeline,
The course includes a review of animation techniques, planning an animated film, in-depth character animation, staging and independent practical exercises in the Animate. The course concludes with a project work where you get the opportunity to develop your skills in an independent and creative way.
