How the Centre is structured

The Board

According to the instructions for the Centre for Gender Research, the Centre should be led by a Board consisting of a Chairperson and six other board members. The Board is appointed by the Faculty of Board for the Faculty of Arts, accordingly:

• Chairperson, based on a suggestion from the Disciplinary Domain Board for the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences
• Two board members, one of which should be from the Faculty of Arts, based on suggestion from the Disciplinary Domain Board for the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences
• One board member, based on suggestion from the Discpiplinary Domain Board for the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy
• One board member, based on suggestion from the Discpiplinary Domain Board for the Disciplinary Domain of Science and Technology
  
• The Student Unions jointly appoints two representatives, preferably a student from the undergraduate level and one PhD student
• Representatives for the staff unions have right of presence and expression
• The members of the Board are appointed for a period of three years (student representatives for one year).
