Short presentation
My research is focused on investigating the degradation mechanisms of Li- and Na-ion battery cathodes by means of resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) and density functional theory (DFT). Strategies can then hopefully be implemented to counteract the identified degradation mechanisms. The goal is ultimately to increase the performance of environmentally friendly cathodes to the point where they are commercially viable. The DFT program I am using is RSPt (Relativistic Spin Polarized(test)).
