Short presentation

My current research is focused on understanding the role of human gut microbiome in the pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases. Our gut microbiome is influenced by various factors such as our own dietary habits, lifestyle, also disease states, and possibly many others. I investigate how gut microbiome plays a role in the development of heart disease and stroke in the setting of epidemiological study designs using data from large Swedish cohorts.
