Short presentation

I am an anthropologist whose research explores the lives of people affected by Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). My research so far has focused upon post-TBI rehabilitation practices and spaces in the UK, exploring how TBI-affected persons maintain a sense of well-being in their lives. I am especially interested in how ideas drawn from existentialist and phenomenological traditions might be used to enrich and broaden anthropological approaches to the study of critical illness, recovery and repair.
