Short presentation
Senior consultant, clinical oncologist since 2018 with focus on gynecological oncology. I defended my thesis in 2021; currently post doc affiliated to assistent professor Hanna Dahlstrand at Karolinska Institutet with main focus on rare ovarian cancer subtypes.
Biography
Specialist in oncology with focus on gynecological oncology at Akademiska sjukhuset (Uppsala's University Hospital). Member of the Care group for endometrial cancer and The Swedish Quality Register for Gynecological Cancer, and in the Swedish gynecologic cancer group (SweGCG) with research based on data from the Quality Register.
My thesis (2021) focused on how pregnancy affects risk, prognosis and tumor biology in ovarian cancer. As a post doc (affiliated with assistant professor Hanna Dahlstrand at Karolinska Institute), my main interest is to explore rare subtypes of ovarian cancer based on epidemiology, tumor biology, genetic profile, and tumor microenvironment.
At Uppsala University, I am part of Professor Ingrid Glimelius research group and I have several collaborative projects with researchers at the department of Women's and Children's health.
My primary motivation as a researcher is to contribute to increased knowledge about gynecological cancer that can lead to the development of new strategies to both prevent and treat thease deadly tumors.
