Adolf Noreen Society

The aim of the Adolf Noreen Society is to promote and disseminate the results of research regarding the Swedish language. This is done mainly by publishing Språk och stil, which is the leading journal for publishing research on Swedish in Swedish.

The society is named after Adolf Noreen (1854–1925), one of the most prominent Swedish linguistic scholars of his time.

Språk och stil has been published since 1901. It aims to be a broad forum for research on the Swedish language. Contributions on Swedish from both older times and present day are welcomed and also in terms of theory and methodology the scope is wide: structure, variation, and usage of Swedish in both spoken language and written language across all genres.
