WISE
The Wallenberg Initiative Materials Science for Sustainability (WISE) is a research initiative aimed at enabling sustainable development through cutting-edge basic and demand-driven materials science on an international level. Uppsala University participates along with six other Swedish universities, and the initiative is funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.
Uppsala University, Chalmers University of Technology, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Linköping University, Luleå University of Technology, Lund University, and Stockholm University collaborate with the overarching goal of enabling sustainable technologies with a positive impact on society through the understanding, creation, and control of complex materials.
