New master student
Welcome to Uppsala University and the Department of Mathematics!

Introductory Meeting
When: August 26, at 1:15 – 3:00 p.m.
Where: in the Ångström Laboratory Lecture Hall 90101. Find your way to the Ångström Laboratory. If you are unable to attend the Introductory Meeting, please let us know via masters@math.uu.se and we will send you a Zoom link
At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the Department of Mathematics and your new fellow masters students. There will be presentations by the Programme Coordinator, members of the Student Union UTN and the Programme Study counsellor. We will give you practical information about life in Uppsala, planning your studies in the program, and introduce our roles. You will also have time to ask any questions about your studies.
After the introductory meeting, we organize a tour of the campus where you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the premises and the Department of Mathematics. You will have plenty of time to get to know each other and students from other Master's programmes in science and technology via the student union´s Master & Exchange Reception (the page will be updated during the summer).
If for some reason your arrival in Uppsala is delayed so that you are not in place when the semester starts on 2 September, you need to notify us. Due to the fact that it will be difficult to catch up with missed course time, we can unfortunately not accept later arrival than one or maximum two weeks after the start of the semester.
Welcome "Fika"
On 29 August at 13:00-15:00, the department invites you to a welcome "fika" (Swedish word for coffee/tea, often with something sweet) in room 14167. There you will meet your teachers and other maths students, from bachelor to doctoral level.
