About the course
The course provides an introduction to the principles and technologies that underpin modern IT systems as well as the ability to use and explain computer science terminology. Based on this, they discuss the possibilities offered by IT systems, the constraints of technology, and the social, organisational, ethical, legal and security aspects of IT usage. The course is suitable for those who want to understand modern technology and need to communicate about IT systems with both experts and laymen, such as in order roles or as teachers.
Outline for distance course: This distance course is a web-based course, completely without physical meetings (including the examination). Reading instructions and other communication are handled through the course home page and email. Internet access is a requirement for this course.
