About the course
Reflection seismology uses controlled sources to study the shallow geology down to the base of the crust. It is commonly used in exploration for hydrocarbons and mineral resources, but also in environmental and geothermal surveys as well as in CO2 sequestration. In this advanced course, you will learn about the theoretical background of the technique, seismic data acquisition, and about the standard methods of data processing. Practical exercises are a major aspect of the course.
