About the course
The course will give you a comprehensive understanding and in-depth knowledge of your subject of interests within Swedish language or other Nordic languages. The course consists of two elective courses and one bachelor's project. In the elective courses you will learn about different linguistic theories and methods within different subject areas that will provide a solid base for writing your degree project. The range of courses provided varies between semesters, but it can include courses about text analysis, language history, grammar and language planning.
In the course you will write a bachelor's project that is an independent degree project. It consists of a study within Swedish or Nordic linguistics. You will decide the subject together with your teacher or supervisor. During the semester you will learn more about scientific writing, formalities and you will get assistance in how to write your project. In the end of the semester you will participate in a seminar for a public discussion of your paper and you will give and receive feedback on your and your fellow students' projects.
