There is no compulsory course literature. There is no single book that is comprehensive enough to cover all the topics of the course. There will be reference literature available in class. A recommended book to buy that gives a basis for the fungal parts of the course and a more comprehensive text on the evoution of land plants is 8th edition of Raven Biology of plants by Evert and Eichhorn.
