Entry requirements

At least 60 credits in medicine, biomedicine, biomedical laboratory science, pharmacy, or biology. For admission, agreement concerning project set-ups and supervision with of the course director passed supervisor are also required. Certificates from supervisor if agreed project should be enclosed the application.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to:

- scientifically describe a medical issue.

- understand and describe different methods to tackle a medical issue.

- process collected data and illustrate them on a scholarly way.

- orally and in written form report a scholarly work.

Content

The course is an advanced course within the main subject medical scholarship where the student under individual supervision will make an advanced assignment within one of the following subject study fields: clinical immunology, genetics or pathology. The course intends provide the student practical and theoretical knowledge in chosen subject area.

Instruction

The teaching consists of practical laboratory supervision, theoretical discussions and seminars.

Assessment

Written and oral reporting.

Note:

The course can essentially be followed at one's own pace and can be started at optional date on the year by agreement with the supervisor.
