Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
CAD software.
Content
- The different stages of the building design process and involved parties in drawings within a construction project.
- Introduction to plan and solid geometry.
- Drawing according to building standards.
- Introduction to projection methods
- Introduction to picture analysis.
- Introduction to the basic principles of the CAD software.
- Drawing plans, facades, sections and details, and 3D modelling.
- Presentation technique: modelling of a small residential building with the aid of a CAD software such as Autodesk Revit.
Instruction
Lectures, exercises and project work. Assignments are made in groups and are presented orally and in writing.
Assessment
Passed practical assignments (1 HE credits), passed project work through written and oral presentation (3 HE credits) and written examination (1 HE credits).
