Entry requirements
The student should be admitted to the Master Programme in Social Sciences with Specialisation in Psychology. Within the undergraduate education or the equivalent, s/he should have acquired basic knowledge in methods and statistics.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to - account for the theorising for psychological measurement regarding central psychological data collection methods - discuss and evaluate the reliability in various types of psychological data collection methods - be able to choose data collection method and assess its applicability for different psychological problems
Content
The course presents some central methods of measurement within psychology – theory and application - namely questionnaire, interview, observation, psychophysics, psychophysiology and movement measurement.
Instruction
Teaching is given in the form of lectures, seminars, and demonstrations.
Assessment
The student is examined by written individual examinations. In other respects, active participation in seminars and demonstrations are expected. The grades passed with distinction, passed, and failed be applied.

Scientific original works, mainly published scientific articles and book chapters, all according to separate literature list that is announced in connection with the course introduction.
