Entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, from an internationally recognised university. The main field of study must be within engineering, science or social science. Also required is 30 credits at Master's level in wind power project management. The course is only available after completion of for the degree course required courses at Master's level. Admission requires a project plan accepted by the department.
Learning outcomes
After having passed the course the student should be able to:
- Identify a research question where new knowledge or new application of existing knowledge will be developed
- Find and describe relevant literature for this research question
- Argue for a choice of theory and methodology, and apply the theory and methodology to find an answer to the research question
- Discuss, conclude and put into perspective the results in relation to theory and empiricism, while demonstrating critical thinking concerning the chosen methodology
- Report findings in the Master's Thesis in a structured, comprehensive, concise and clear way, and in such a way that the work could be repeated by others in the field
- Present the results in correct language, both written and orally for different target groups.
Content
Design of research question for the Master's Thesis, literature review, quantitative and qualitative data collection, interpretation, analysis and documentation of findings.
Instruction
Lectures and supervision. The student performs independent research and report writing.
Assessment
To pass, a passed oral and written presentation of the degree project is required.
