Learning outcomes
After a successfully completed course the student should be able to:
- identify, delimit, model and simulate an infrastructure system based on a given multidisciplinary research issue,
- describe the development history of the studied infrastructure system and identify the key factors that influence its design,
- analyse the properties of the studied infrastructure system under anticipated forthcoming changes as well as identify problems and propose solutions, both technical and socio-technical,
- independently search, interpret, compile and integrate relevant information from different scientific areas,
- in writing and orally present prerequisits, argue for the chosen analysis method, and communicate project results.
Content
Anticipated development and transition of infrastructure systems, e.g. energy, transport systems, water and wastewater systems or information systems, or combinations thereof. Skills and knowledge from previous courses in both technological and humanities/social sciences are applied.
Instruction
Supervision of group projects. Workshops with invited experts. Seminars.
