Entry requirements
120 credits including 15 credits in materials engineering at an advanced level, including Additive Manufacturing in Polymeric Materials.
Learning outcomes
After a successfully completed course the student should be able to:
- describe methods and possibilities to simulate and control additive manufacturing processes,
- describe properties of printed component that can be measured and techniques for this,
- give an overview of the central concepts in quality control and quality management systems.
Content
Strategies for process simulation and quality control in additive manufacturing. Software for process simulation and for studying influence of different parameters in additive manufacturing processes. Collection and handling of process data. Techniques for quality control of finished products.
Instruction
Lectures, assignments and seminars.
Assessment
Active participation in seminars (2 credits) and assignments (3 credits).
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
