Learning outcomes
On completion of the course the student shall be able to:
- identify and reflect upon how work related to sustainable energy transition is organised and carried out.
- apply previous knowledge gained from the programme in sustainable energy transition and critically analyse the conditions for practical work at the internship.
- evaluate the organisation's opportunities and challenges related to sustainable energy transition.
Content
The student shall participate in an internship in company, authority or organisation related to the fields of sustainable energy transition. Under the supervision of an appointed supervisor within the host organisation the student shall take part in the day to day activities which are relevant for the education and train the student to work independently and in cooperation with others.
Instruction
Course introduction is taking place at the university. Individual supervision is given by the internship provider.
Assessment
Written documentation in form of a comprehensive written report must be completed by the end of the internship, followed by an oral presentation.
The internship supervisor must verify that the student actively participated during the internship.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
Other directives
The student is responsible for finding a suitable internship and prepare an internship work plan. Before the start of the internship, the host organisation, the appointed host supervisor and the internship work plan must be approved by the examiner.
The course cannot be included in the same degree as 1GV187.
