Content

Starting from the overall digitalization of society, the course focuses on introducing subject-relevant perspectives on digitalization and digital transformation with an emphasis on technical, social, economic, interactive and communicative challenges. The overall aim of the course is to provide the student with a deep understanding of change in complex organizational environments and how digitalization affects society, groups and individuals, as well as develop the abilities needed to understand and analyze digitalization as a process from a systematic holistic perspective. The course provides an overview theoretical basis for analyzing the consequences of digitization based on the current research situation.

The course introduces students to the challenges of digitalization based on the perspective of each subject area. Digitalization is then discussed from a holistic, relational perspective where digitalization is understood as a socio-material process. The course introduces perspectives on digitalization such as practice, discourse, sensemaking and materiality.
