IRIS (Information systems research seminar in Scandinavia) commenced in 1978 and is the oldest consecutive information systems conference in the world. The conference is organized as an annual working seminar for Scandinavian researchers and PhD students. Over the years we have been happy to see an increasing number of participants also from outside Scandinavia. After its first few meetings in Finland, the seminar now alternates between the Scandinavian countries. Since 2010, IRIS is organized jointly with the Scandinavian Conference on Information Systems, which maintains a stricter peer-review process and publishes its proceedings with Springer. The theme of the conference this year is "Designing the Interactive Society". To raise the profile of the conference, Uppsala university and Sweden in this area, we have invited a number of world-leading researcher to provide keynotes and participate in panels. We expect broad participation primarily from the Nordic/Scandinavian countries with a total of approx. 120 participants. The conference will be held at Sigtunahöjden, situated 15 minutes from Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport, 40 minutes from Stockholm and 30 minutes from Uppsala. For more information, please see http://iris.im.uu.se/
