Cecilia Nordquist

Hi, my name is Cecilia - I'm a I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Sociology working within the international project Justemotions.

My research focuses on plea barganing and discretion in United States criminal court and how legal professionals, judges and prosecutors, use and manage their emotions in their decision-making practices.

My interests include: Emotion sociology, Symbolic interactionism, Ethnography, Autoethnography and Qualitative Research.

Cecilia works within the JUSTEMOTIONS PROJECT investigating how objectivity is constructed in different legal systems by comparing decision-making in criminal cases in four countries.
