Focusing on hybrid perovskite solar cells, my research utilizes hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES) to probe the band alignment and chemical interactions at the interface between the charge transport and light-absorbing layers under operating conditions, such as light illumination and applied bias. This mimics the actual working solar cells, and a deeper understanding of these processes will ultimately be the key to optimizing their stability and performance.
