Biografi

Kunli Xiong is currently an assistant professor in the solid state physics division of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He got his PhD degree in 2018 at Chalmers University of Technology and 6 years postdoc/researcher at the University of Cambridge and Gothenburg University. He started his group at Uppsala University as an assistant professor in 2024. This group studies fundamental and applied aspects of optical properties on dynamic tunable materials. He first proposed the concept of plasmonic electronic paper and now applies this technology to the AI area.

His current research theme is the development of electronic paper using conjugated polymers, transition metal oxides, perovskite, etc. Recent recognized research includes exploring intelligent particles (nanorobots) and optical nano-neuron networks.
