Urfolksstudier, minnespolitik och exkluderande regimer

This continued focus of CEMFOR’s work covers historical and contemporary research on discrimination, stigmatisation and exclusion of groups formally recognised as Swedish minorities and indigenous communities. With our particular focus and expertise with regard to Sami and Jewish communities and more recently also Roma, we study how they have been historically discriminated and stigmatised in Sweden and, comparatively, beyond, and how corresponding persistent regimes of exclusion still influence both contemporary politics of memory of indigenous groups and minorities as well as effectively fuel their contemporary life-worlds and opportunities.

Welcome to Climate Futures Workshop by Dálkke: Indigenous Climate Change Studies.

Organised by the research project Dálkke: Indigenous Climate Change Studies, FORMAS Dnr 2017-01923, led by Dr May-Britt Öhman, Uppsala University, within the Swedish National research programme on climate.
Languages: We will present and talk in English, as we have a project participant from Australia. We will help each other with translation to and from Swedish, and if needed/possible also from other languages.
