International research network

At present, the Departments of Women's and Children's Health and the Department of Neuroscience at Uppsala University collaborate with the University of Tübingen within the framework of the Matariki Network. The focus at present is to continue the work of creating an international graduate school. The theme is "The Pregnant Brain" and includes projects about the pregnant brain, postpartum depression and child development. The graduate school currently comprises four doctoral students from Tübingen and four PhD candidates from Uppsala, and the same number of supervisors from each university. International funding is currently being sought for an expansion of the graduate school, and several researchers within the proposed center have been mentioned as partners.

Within the framework of U4Society, a collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry, University Medical Center Groningen has recently been initiated. The focus is on establishing a long-term research collaboration and joint doctoral students.

In addition to the above collaborations, most researchers in Womher's senior research network have further well-established international collaborations. This means that for senior researchers within Womher's network there are good conditions for international collaborations and that for Womher's doctoral students there are great opportunities for international perspectives.
