Doctoral level (PhD studies) (third cycle)

The PhD education at the department has nine main specialisations:

  • Computational Linguistics
  • Greek or Greek with a specialisation in Byzantine studies
  • Indology and Indology with a specialisation in comparative Indo-European linguistics.
  • Iranian languages
  • Latin
  • General Linguistics
  • Semitic languages or Semitic languages with a specialisation in Assyriology
  • Sinology
  • Turkic languages

The Faculty has a page with med general study plans for the various specialisations.

Spikning av avhandling

The graduate school Early Languages, Digital Philology (DigPhil) is a collaborative effort involving different subjects at the Lund, Stockholm and Uppsala Universities. It is funded by the Swedish Research Council 2023-2027.

Dissertations written within the department's PhD programmes can be listed from the DiVA-system.
