UDOPP

Pipetteringsrobot

The Uppsala University Drug Optimization and Pharmaceutical Profiling Platform (UDOPP) is a pharmaceutical and ADME platform, physically located in the laboratories of Prof. Per Artursson at Department of Pharmacy at Uppsala University and offer ADME related services to researchers in academia and biotech.

UDOPP

Our vision

Our vision is to add value to all stages of pharmaceutical and ADMET related research and thereby increase the number of drug candidates which can be successfully developed to marketed drugs.

The team

We are a group of scientists with expertise in preclinical drug discovery and development. The unit has experience in working with small molecules, therapeutics proteins and peptides, and most recently, oligonucleotides. UDOPP uses a state-of-the-art laboratory and cutting-edge research to help Swedish academic drug discovery projects in the optimization of hit compound series and deliver lead compounds and candidate drugs of the highest possible quality. We add scientific value to all stages of the preclinical drug discovery and development process.

Personal UDOPP

The projects

UDOPP is a part of the Drug Discovery and Development platformen (DDD) at SciLifeLab, in the form of ADME of Therapeutics (ADMEoT). The ADMEoT unit is contributing to two antibacterial drug discovery platforms: 1) ENABLE2 aiming for proof-of-concept in animal models of new antibacterial hits, and 2) JPIAMR/MURYXIN, which aims to improve the therapeutic window of clinically used cyclic peptide antibiotics. UDOPP is also affiliated with the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) project - ConcePTION – as a team responsible for bioanalysis of human samples and population PK (popPK) modelling.
