Description

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a big impact on the whole world, also on migrants and refugees. Although they are a highly vulnerable group, there were very little information on how Covid-19 was changing the lives of refugees and migrants.

The ApartTogether study therefore aimed to better understand how refugees and migrants experienced the impact of Covid-19 on their social lives and mental health, as well as learn about what helps them cope. CHAP has been commissioned by The Public Health Agency of Sweden to analyze data from the study.

ApartTogether was a collaboration between Uppsala University (Sweden); Ghent University (Belgium); Sussex University (UK); University of Toulouse (France); University of Copenhagen (Denmark); Lisbon University (Portugal), University of Sevilla (Spain), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, NKUA (Greece), and academics of AUSL di Reggio Emilia (Italy).

Researchers who worked on the study were Fatumo Osman, Anna Sarkadi, Natalie Durbeej and Maria Thell.
