The Institute for Educational Law was initiated by the Faculty of Law at Uppsala University. The objective of the institute is to inspire and support research and education within the area of educational law in Sweden in the broadest possible way. The institute shall within the broad scientific environment, which is provided by the University, promote legal and related issues focusing on primary and secondary education as well as higher education in a fruitful way for the country. The aim is to become the most important center for educational law in Sweden. Another aim is that research and other activities shall enrich other areas in society.
