About NMR Uppsala

NMR Uppsala

has been formed as a cross-faculty technology platform funded by the Department of Chemistry - BMC and the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy:

  • one 600 and one 500 MHz spectrometer have been installed in early 2018
  • two 400 MHz instruments at the Department of Chemistry - BMC are also available for small molecule structure determinations and multinuclear NMR

Two NMR experts are available to assist with solving problems

The instruments are located at the Biomedical Center (BMC), B7:5

The aims of NMR Uppsala are to:

  1. give UU researchers access to modern NMR spectroscopy
  2. serve as a center of NMR competence at UU
  3. optimize the use of resources locally at UU, and the connection to national infrastructures
  4. increase the understanding and use of modern NMR.

NMR Uppsala is administered by a steering committee:

Chairman: Prof. Jan Kihlberg , Dept. of chemistry – BMC

Deputy chairman: Prof. Ulf Göransson , Dept. of Pharmaceutical Biosciences, Pharmacognosy

Members:

Prof. Máté Erdélyi , Dept. of chemistry – BMC

Prof. Per Jemth , Dept. of Medical Biochemistry and Microbiology
