About the course

Modern society is highly organised, and most of our daily lives either play out in organisations or are deeply affected by organising. While organisation theory traces its intellectual roots to economic sociology, it has over time developed by integrating insights from decision-making, network and political science theory to become a central theory in modern social science to form modern organisation theory. The course will provide an overview of the development and the implications of various strands of organisation theory, insights into current debates, and a language that enables a discussion of current societal issues.

For exchange students: As this course is part of a Master's track, it cannot be taken on its own but must be taken with other course/s in the same track during the same semester.
