Learning outcomes
On completion of the course students should be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of different methodological and theoretical perspectives on research of children's geographies and identity-work in educational contexts
- describe, explain and analyse children's geographies and identity-work in different educational contexts
Content
- research on identity and identity development
- analysis of and discussion of children's everyday life in a school context
- studies of children's active participation in and representation of different places and contexts
Instruction
The instruction consists of lectures, seminars and tutoring.
Assessment
The course is examined in writing and orally, for example through a written exam and oral presentation.
If there are special reasons, the examiner may make exceptions from the specified examination method and allow a student to be examined in another way. Special reasons can e.g. be information about pedagogical support from the university's coordinators for students with disabilities.
