SweDeliver is a world leading research and competence center in Drug Delivery. Many novel molecules in the drug discovery and development pipeline are biological compounds such as proteins, peptides and RNA. These display problems of poor solubility, membrane permeability and low bioavailability. Thus, the Drug Delivery area is today facing tremendous challenges to develop new drug therapies.
SweDeliver is based on a multi-disciplinary collaboration between academia and industry with financial support from Vinnova (Sweden’s Innovation Agency), established in response to these drug delivery challenges. The Faculty of Pharmacy at Uppsala University is the academic hub of the Centre whereas our 16 industrial partners contribute with expertise and research infrastructure as well as industrial perspectives and needs within each of the three main research areas – parenteral, oral and pulmonary administration – of the Centre.
We are now looking for highly motivated, late stage master students to pursue research projects with our industrial partners. The summer projects will be connected to a 6 week research internship with one of our 16 industrial partners positioned in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Belgium.
The internship comes with full salary. You can expect to experience drug delivery sciences at its best, in state-of-the art environments and of high relevance for human health. We expect that you are engaged, hard-working and give your utmost to learn and contribute to world-leading drug delivery sciences!
