Our research focus on (1) the evolution of phenotypic plasticity and local adaptation of population and species in response to environmental changes, and of (2) biodiversity in urban areas. We use aquatic insects as our model organisms, and we focus on neutral genetic markers, life history traits and population interactions.
Currently we have three projects running.
- Genetic variation and adaptation in novel environments
- Urban ponds: species-genetic diversity correlations in a metacommunity
- Potential responses to climate change: from genotype to community level
