A legal study of the autonomous concept of accountability of artificial intelligence

Beskrivning

Silvia’s research project involves the study of legal accountability of autonomous-thinking systems and the impact of upcoming technology shifts on society. Whilst the use of Artificial Intelligence systems clearly generates new opportunities to enhance people’s abilities in all facets of society, it also challenges existing legal notions and principles, in particular questioning the existing framework of accountability principles with reference to autonomous AI systems. The project aims to research and establish the legal autonomous concept of accountability in relation to self-learning, autonomous systems, in order to identify uniform guidelines and build on the existing regulatory framework for a human-centric AI approach.
