Maths is a language that is international, precise, concise and powerful. It is the key to exploring and understanding the secrets of nature and the universe, from the smallest particle to black holes. It gives us the tools to decode patterns, relationships and to express laws of nature and other truths. Maths helps us understand the world - and we use the world to understand mathematics.

Our Master´s programme has three specialisations

Pursue your passion for math through our Master´s Programme. You study in an international environment where between half to one third of the students on the programme come from abroad. Uppsala University is known for its strong research environment in mathematics and ranks as a whole in the top 100 universities in the world in several rankings.

Exchange Studies

We accept students from the University's and the Department's own exchange agreements and can usually also offer courses to students from the University's other departmental agreements.
