The dissertation Question of human dignity A critical study of human rights in the age of racism and migration (Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis) was defended in autumn 2020. The study reviews various understandings of human rights based on their potential to highlight and counteract contemporary racism. In particular, the racism directed towards migrants in South Africa and Sweden are studied.
